The Big Palapa - Santa Teresa, Hermosa beach

Perched along the coastal ridge hills, our 3.5 acre property overlooks a lush jungle below and the ocean 900 meters to the west. Enjoy phenomenal sunsets in our large teak and thatch palapa, a gathering point for family meals, with a chef’s kitchen, a harvest table for 12+, full bathroom, and generous living room overlooking the infinity pool, surrounded by hibiscus, bougainvillea, and fruit trees. Upstairs is an air conditioned master suite bedroom + bathroom with an extra daybed, desks and closets.

Across the landscaped courtyard sits the original Tico whitewash concrete and teak home, lovingly restored, with full kitchen, living room, 2 air conditioned king bedrooms with closets and desks, and a shard full bathroom.


Adjacent to the courtyard and between the Palapa and white house there is a 34 ft infinity pool and sun patio, with a shallow water section for children, a sitting shelf, and a deeper full length swim lane.

To the South of the white house down a path, we have our 2 bdrm / 2bathroom jungle house, a modern air conditioned home with 2 full master suites, kitchen and living room with a full length balcony overlooking the jungle ravine and creek. 

The property holds many fruit trees (mango, lime, papaya, bananas, coconut, an herb garden and, charcoal BBQ), a creek ravine, where monkeys and birds announce the 6 am sunrise.

All rooms have a digital safe for storing passports and valuables. The groundskeeper Mateo lives in a home by the gate, and our property manager Tania lives 150 meters down the road to help with anything you may require. Cleaners typically come twice a week but can be adapted to your needs.



The driveway has a gate and parking for 5 vehicles.
